The tour, which follows the 2019 Unveil Tour “I am…”, promotes Stray Kids’ sixth EP, Ordinary, which was released in March 2022 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The E.P. contains seven songs, including the hit “Maniac,” as well as unit songs “Waiting for Us” with Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N., and “Muddy Water” with Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, and Felix.
Stray Kids spoke with Billboard in 2022 about what it was like to have Ordinary reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart. “Wow, that’s exciting!” At the time, Bang Chan stated, “We just heard the news and were like, ‘Is this real?'” Is this going on?’ We were also astounded.” In the same interview, Felix hinted at the tour’s “theme.” “The topic we’re going to highlight is ‘Out of the Ordinary,'” he explained. Bang Chan also revealed the meaning of the album’s title. “As our album states, being out of the usual is the norm.” We don’t think there’s any reason to hide something weird about oneself or to be anxious or nervous about it. Stray Kids’ 2nd World Tour Maniac set list for the North American portion of their tour will not be revealed until their first concert on June 28, 2022, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
