Three Teenagers In Custody Over Fatal Shooting In Hackney, East London

Three boys, two aged 16 and one aged 15 are currently being held in custody over a shooting in Hackney, east London which led to the death of a 15-year-old girl on Saturday afternoon.

The victim who has now been formally identified as Shereka Marsh was pronounced dead at the scene after Police arrived at the house in Eastway, Hackney Wick shortly before 4 o’ clock yesterday.

hackneyMs Marsh was a student at the Urswick School in Hackney, where friends say she was a star pupil. Last week, she led the Jamaican High Commissioner on a tour around the Institution.

Reports by the Daily mail suggests the teenager may have been accidentally shot dead by a friend at the house where she was found.

A post-mortem examination was carried out earlier today but no formal charges have yet been brought against the three men who are yet to be formally identified by police.

Shereka’s friends have taken to social media sites to express their shock at the incident and offer their condolences.
