Three More Years For The X Factor And Britain’s Got Talent

Simon Cowell must be feeling rather chuffed at the moment as ITV announced a deal with his company (SYCO Entertainment) that will see Britain’s Got Talent and the X factor on our screens until at least 2016.

Despite dwindling viewing numbers on the X Factor since Simon decamped to the US to promote the American version, ITV bosses insist that the shows remain two of the most popular on telly and are confident of the outlook for the future.

It probably doesn’t really help that the BBC has launched an offensive against the X factor by showing Strictly come dancing at the same time, not to mention all the scandals the show has suffered in recent times. In any case, Simon Cowell now has an extra three years to work on his act and put the X back in the X Factor.

A come back to the UK version of the show maybe? Yes please!
