Fans are going to be left to make a difficult? decision in September when two hit TV shows ITV’s Strictly Come Dancing and BBC’s X Factor air simultaneously come September.
Syco’s X factor is expected to start in the last week of August at 8pm while Strictly is expected to start a week after on the 7th of September at the same time clashing with the second run of ITV’s biggest Saturday show.
Strictly this year appears to be the likely favourite with fans with big names confirmed to waltz on the dance floor including Andy Murray’s mum Judy, The Saturday’s Frankie Bridge, former Xtra factor presenter Caroline Flack who has obviously switched camps and pop star Pixie Lott who was confirmed more recently.
ITV will be hoping the return on Simon Cowell will boost viewing stats which have taken a dip in recent years while he took time off to promote the American version of the show. This year’s line consists of Simon, Louis and the return of Cheryl, not to mention Posh spice Mel B who will hopefully be spicing things up.
In the Strictly camp, there have also been a few notable changes with host Bruce Forsyth stepping down this year leaving Claudia Winkleman to take his place. The last three stars to feature on the show will be announced live on the One Show on Friday.
