Steal of The Week – Top Picks From Our Fashion Team

If you read our recent ‘Yay or Nay Fashion trends’ post, you’ll know the kimono has taken high street stores by storm this Summer. That is why this Samya Black Feather Print Fringed Kimono (that’s a mouthful!) from New Look’s inspire range is our steal of the week.

Kimonos are a perfect way to cover up in the warmer months because they are very lightweight and oh so chic! New Look have so many kimonos to choose from with different prints and shapes but I chose this one in particular because first of all it has been reduced from £30 to £15, (bargain or what?)!!, but also because the feather print is quite unique in comparison to the many floral kimonos I have seen. The fringe detail also gives this item a boho vibe and it is very sheer so you can play around with bright bold colours underneath for a fun youthful look.

How to style?

The great thing about a kimono is that you can throw it over anything!

Top – Monki £7.90 | Jeans – Topshop £25 | Heels – Asos £18

For a casual look: Pair with some ripped jeans, a simple crop top and some new age gladiator sandals. Keep jewellery to a minimum, a long length chain and some stackable midi rings and you are good to go!

Date Night
Dress – Miss Selfridge £22 | Heels – Dollhouse £18 | Purse – New Look £8.99

For date night: A midi lace dress with some ankle strap heeled sandals paired with this kimono would be stunning! The kimono slightly dresses down the outfit but the shoe adds a flirty feel.

Skort – Topshop £15 | Cami – Dorothy Perkins £5.26 | Flatforms – Misguided £20

For the club: Skirts are all the range now – pair one with a simple cami and some hot flatforms or wedges and you are ready for a night on the town!

This kimono is definitely a versitile piece that belongs in your Summer wardrobe!
