Chinese dragons, mono-tonal stripes, serious models and then appeared Hansel and Zoolander (Ben Stiller and Mike Owen), marching up the stage with a serious pout, almost as good as the high end models before them, wearing blue silk printed pyjamas and shoulder-robing a tailored coat. This was an advertisement of the upcoming sequel to Zoolander; Zoolander 2, anticipated to be a very big film.
Whilst the stunt almost broke the internet and attracted all the attention, lets steer back to the Spring 2015, Valentino trends for which some of fashion’s biggest names including Vogue Editor Anna Wintour were gathered.
Bold, yet intricate in their own way, the fashion house’s latest offering was minimalistic yet loud. Valentino delivers and exhibits the power of monochrome tempered with lots of lace, and throwing in a splash of red and oriental colours in form of Chinese dragons.
Highlights: The catwalk illuminated with lattice work, intricate lace, and simple yet impactful black and white dresses and trouser suits.
What we loved most: Whilst, predominantly mono-tonal, Valentino managed to compose and fit in warm colours like oranges and reds into the mix.
