The Nigeria centennial ceremony, held in honour of Nigeria’s centennary anniversary was marked with a wreath laying ceremony yesterday during the Commonwealth Observance day.
Nigerian celebrities and dignitaries led by the chairman of GLEEHD Foundation in Nigeria, Dayo Israel attended the event at the Memorial gate in honour of the War dead.
The Nigerian delegation was made up of royal fathers including the HRH Adekunle Ojora, Nigerian celebrities Onyeka Onwenu, Weird MC, Sound Sultan as well as former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon. Wife of former Governor of Cross River State Onari Duke and Governor of Edo State Comrade Adams Oshiomhole also graced the event.
The Bishop of London, UK Cabinet Ministers and former UK Prime Minister John Major were also present at the memorable event.
