The Radical Designer category will have to produce a mini collection or enter a current avant-garde collection. The winner will get a chance to make their dreams come true as they will be able to showcase their collection in Vancouver Fashion Week.
The founder of the event, Joanna Marcella, described what sets ‘FDC- Young Fashion Awards’ apart from other fashion shows, she said “our unique selling point is: our event recognises young multicultural design talent and catapults young fashion designers right on to the international fashion stage”.
This year designers from India, Russia, Spain France and USA are also displaying their collection at award show. The showcase will also be raising money for a good cause; The Angelman Syndrome Charity which raises money for children suffering from the genetic dissorder.
