Who will you nominate?
The Black British Business Awards is a premium awards programme that recognises, rewards and celebrates exceptional performance and outstanding achievements of black people in businesses operating in Great Britain.
Supported and endorsed by prominent business leaders and government, the BBBAwards uncover inspirational role models; ambassadors who represent the very best talent in organisations across various sectors in the British economy.
The aim of the awards are to transcend stereotypes and highlight the often unsung contributions of black people to the British economy. As The Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP said of the BBBAwards in 2014: “The importance of these awards cannot be overstated given that two out of every three FTSE 100 companies have an all-white board and [the BBBAwards] will be a welcome addition to getting more diversity in the city.”
Passionate about uncovering role models and inspiring a new generation of exceptional business leaders, Melanie Eusebe started these Awards in 2012 to reflect the outstanding achievements and contributions of black business people to the UK economy. For her, these awards will challenge outdated stereotypes and most importantly, be a vehicle for economic empowerment and community partnership.
Brits can nominate anyone in various categories including ‘Rising star of the year’ and ‘Leader of the year’ in the fields of science and technology, retail and financial services amongst others.
Nominations close on the 5th of May and the awards will hold on the 20th of October 2015.
