Nothing like a deadly epidemic to put the fear of God in the heart of a normally die-hard Nollywood actor.

Actor Jim Iyke hurriedly packed his bags and waved goodbye to Liberia as the Ebola virus spiralled out of control this week.

The actor posted a photo of himself wearing a face mask as he waited to board a flight back home from Monrovia with the caption,” Monrovia, unfinished biz; Leavin tonite. Nt ashamed to admit tis ish scares the Jesus outta me. #Ebola!!!!.”

His hurried departure comes after reports that a top Liberian Doctor had died after coming in contact with the virus while treating patients.

Doctors from the ‘Doctors without borders’ group are still battling their way into villages thought to have been affected by the disease with many small villages refusing entry to medical professionals.

The UK border agency has now issued an alert over fears that the disease may spread to the country via people travelling from Africa.
