Save the date people. Nigeria is to play Scotland in a friendly at Craven Cottage. The match will be a great opportunity for Stephen Keshi’s side to test their readiness in preparation for the world cup that’s only months away.
The super eagles are said to have a busy schedule ahead of them with matches lined up with various countries across the club.
The team will play Mexico in Georgia next week and then it’s off to Philadelphia on the 3rd of June for a match with Greece and finally, the team will face the US in Jacksonville for another friendly on the 7th of June.
Speaking to the BBC, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’s official match agent, told BBC Sport: “This game provides big opportunities for the coaches, players and fans of the Super Eagles.
“Playing Scotland at the end of several European leagues should help the players get to London easily.
“It’s also an important opportunity for the coach to see some players before their big camp in the United States.
“Significantly, it will enable the Nigerian community in the UK and across Europe to see the team before the World Cup in Brazil.”
