Now that autumn is in full swing, it’s time to pack away the denim shorts and bring out the winter clothes that’s been sitting in the loft all summer.
Though no woman is expected to refresh her whole entire wardrobe, few of us want to add various essentials that will make our favourite golden-oldie staples look new.
Regardless of where you live and what your weather conditions are at the moment, you’re going to want to gush at our 3 favourite essentials this week for autumn. Bring on the boots!
1. The ‘perfect’ winter coat
Some less fashion savvy women may disagree with this being the perfect winter coat. It may not scream ‘warm’, but this Long camel coat from Zara can certainly be layered when wearing it.
Nigerian-Ghanaian Youtuber/Blogger Shirley B Eniang wore the coat during London fashion week’s AW14 show. The simplicity of this look certainly reflects her style (as every Shirley fan would know).
Paired with Christain Louboutin’s pigalle, a white t-shirt , Topshop distressed jeans and large hoop earrings which adds a little edge to the outfit.
I would say this is a perfect way to enter the new season. Stylish, Simple with a little edge.
2.Paint my wardrobe black!
Yes, we might as well paint it black because no wardrobe is complete with any black clothing. Whether old or new, you can never go wrong with – all black everything (or e’rything depending on which side of the Atlantic you’re in).
Celebrities like the West family, have all embraced the look these past few weeks; with North West taking all the attention. The adorable 1-year-old is certainly sharing the passion both her parents’ love.
Reality TV star, Kim Kardashian West took an elegant approach to this look.
She opted for a long sleeve polo neck, high-waist trousers and simple black boots. Completing the look with her signature middle part- slicked back ponytail.
3. You can DIY me- The distressed jeans
The ultimate all year round, must-have.
Any pair of jeans could change the way an outfit looks. Yes, but not the way a ripped/distressed jeans does.
Youtuber/Blogger Patricia Bright took a glamorous approach to wearing these jeans.
The Nigerian beauty paired the jeans with a plain white t-shirt, black blazer, chunky buckle belt, bright coloured clutch to add colour and simple clear-strapped heels.
We particularly love these jeans Patricia’s wearing as it can be created at home.
No, you don’t have to spend so much money in shops like Topshop or River island to get the ‘perfect’ ripped jeans. Just DIY it!
