Music Review- Kwabs ‘Love+War’

Kwabs  releases his long awaited début album ‘Love+War’

In case you’ve been living under a rock and not heard of the British Singer, Kwabs (real name Kwabena Sarkodee Adjepong) is one of the new kids on the music scene (including the likes of Lianne La Havas), who offer an alternative sound and style to the fast paced pop tunes that have become the rave of the last 2 decades.

Kwabs’ style is so authentic, you feel inadvertently drawn into his music. Stark, soulful videos drive home the point in ‘Forgiven‘ and his monster hit ‘Perfect Ruins‘, which debuted earlier this year to critical acclaim.

We may not hear much in the way of coo, soulful ‘RnB’ from the likes of Joe and Tyrese anymore, but Kwabs does unbelievable justice to the genre. It appears there’s hope for humanity after all.

Thanking fans for their support on his Facebook wall, the 25 year old Londoner recounted days- not too long ago when he was recording covers in his friend’s living room. “I’m truly proud of these songs and hope that some of these mean something to you. Thank you all! Kwabs x”

‘Love+War‘ is out now.
