Manhunt In Thai Paradise Resort After Two Brit Tourists Assaulted And Murdered

Police on the Thai island of Koh Tao have launched a manhunt after the bodies of two young British backpackers were found not far from a bungalow on the Island.

24 year old David Miller and Hannah Witheridge were both found half naked behind rocks on the Island on Monday. They had both suffered deep gash wounds to the head, face and other parts of the body and Police have discovered a hoe close to the scene of the incidence.

The pair who reportedly met while travelling were said to have attended a party on the Island on Sunday and Police are now trying to track down all those present at the party for questioning as well as examining CCTV footage from the day before.

Another British backpacker is thought to be on the run, sparking speculation that he may have committed the gruesome crime before fleeing the scene and the island.

Police have cordoned off the beach, which is very popular with tourists as they search the area for clues in an attempt to piece together the shocking crime in a part of Thailand where such violence is uncommon.
