In light of the news that Kate Middleton is pregnant with her second child, we’re taking a look at some of the Duchess’ best maternity looks.
30 weeks into her pregnancy Kate looked pretty in peach in a Tara Jarmon coat, at £340 this coat is no bargain but there’s no denying the coat’s flattering fit and lovely colour against Kate’s skin. She used the same neutral hues, and paired the coat with a pretty cream shift dress and matching cream Avona clutch. She wore her favourite LK Bennett Sledge courts.
Another week, another gorgeous coat, this time Kate steps out in a brilliant yellow Emilia Wickstead Marella coat. The yellow and white tweed print and on-trend round collar suited the formal Buckingham Palace garden party perfectly. Kate wore her trusty LK Bennett nude pumps. To add formality, her spring look was styled with an elaborate cream fascinator, pearl earring and a gold detailed clutch. Kate changed things up and wore her hair half-up and in natural waves.
Kate proved maternity wear doesn’t have to be drab and shapeless, ten weeks into her pregnancy, Kate wore a flattering green Alexander McQueen for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards. The fitted maxi dress with its thigh-high slit looked lovely with her Kiki McDonough green amethyst earrings.
This might be our favourite look of Kate’s; she wore this stunning yet simple silver Emilia Wickstead frock and Rupert Sanderson grey suede heels. We love the fit of this dress, it glides over her baby bump through the high waistline. She added a dash of bling with her diamond and green amethyst earrings.
This coat worked only because of the dark brown belt, it cinched Kate in at the waist and created a gorgeous hourglass shape on the Duchess. Brown may not be the most fun hue, but Kate made it work during her visit to Grimsby. Her coat cost £369, which is relatively cheap in comparison to her other coats and is from Hobbs.
