The British model who is well known for efforlessly (and stylishly) combinning her hectic work schedule with being a mum to her four year old son Riley has been unveiled as the new face of Maybelline New York..
A spokesperson for the brand said, ‘Jourdan’s look, style and positive energy are perfect for the brand,’ said a spokesperson. ‘She truly reflects Maybelline’s vision of global beauty.’
In a statement, the 23-year-old model said: “It is an honour to be a spokesperson for such an iconic brand.
Jourdan will be joining an elite group of Maybelline models, which includes Christy Turlington, Adriana Lima, Erin Wasson, Emily DiDonato and Mollie King.
The model is understandably chuffed to be involved in the campaign.
“I am proud to say that I am a Maybelline girl and hopefully I can make people feel the same way I did when I saw the advertisements growing up. The brand imagery is always beautiful and positive. To now be a part of that is a dream come true!,” she said.
Jourdan Dun was spotted in Primark in 2006 by Storm Models agency. She was just 16 when scouted and since has become a successful and inspiring supermodel.
She became the first black model to walk for Prada in 13 years and was even part of Italian Vogue’s black issues.
Her work includes campaigns for top brands YSL, Burberry, John Galliano, DKNY and Vogue.
Jourdan’s son Riley was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anaemia. This led to the model’s active involvement as a Parent Ambassador for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
Jourdan also hosts a lifestyle and cooking program titled ‘Well Dunn with Jourdan Dunn’.
