British super model Jourdan Dunn has revealed plans to join the ever growing list of model turned designers as she unveiled plans to develop her first clothing line for children and young adults. Storm Model Management, who represents Jourdan, has revealed this will be the first licensing deal for the model who will work alongside independent brand licensing agency Fluid World, who launched the Hello Kitty brand in the UK. The collection will include a range of jeans, jackets, basic T-shirts, leggings, jumpers and fashion accessories. Designed by Jourdan herself, the extensive collection aims to fulfill increasing consumer demand for cool clothes for kids and young adults with premium designer style, but will retail at prices which will appeal to a broader audience.
Dunn, who was discovered at the age of 16, has walked for some of the most iconic houses including DVF, Dior, amongst many others. her own sense of fashion is impeccable and it would be interesting to see what her collection will look like.
Of the collection, the mum of one said, “I love kid’s clothes and have been obsessed with them ever since my son was born. Through my career in fashion I have come to love and respect great design, and as a mum I also expect great quality and value for money, as well as the coolest clothes for my son Riley. I am thrilled to be working with Fluid World, and I am looking forward to developing my own collection and turning my ideas into reality.”
