This year’s Asian Media Awards finalist launch event will be held at the headquarters of ITV in London.
Also known as the London Studios, this is ITV’s main production base and is situated on the South Bank.
The event will be held on Monday September 29th, where there’ll be an announcement of the full list of shortlisted individuals and companies to this year’s awards.
Umbreen Ali, Media Manager for the awards said, “We are delighted to be revealing the finalists to this year’s Asian Media Awards at the ITV Studios in London.”
“It is wonderful to be showcasing the list at the home of ITV who are also one of our partners for the event again this year.”
Ali added that, “This year we are looking forward to celebrating new talent and inspiring work from a range of sectors within the industry.
“The media continues to embrace the changes carved by the internet. The categories list this year reflects that and includes several new genres which aim to recognise new and aspiring talent.
“There is a major focus on this year on promoting young talent as we launch the Outstanding Young Journalist Award.
A spokesperson for ITV said, “We are delighted to be playing a part in celebrating diverse talent, by hosting this year’s Finalists launch at our London Studios, and to again be a partner for the ceremony, as it goes from strength to strength.”
Judges for the awards ceremony include representatives from Al-Jazeera, Press Association Training, Mediacom, The Huffington Post and Blue Rubicon.
The awards, now in their second year aims to reward the contribution of members of the Asian media as well as recognise the ground breaking work of reporters, writers and producers in highlighting issues affecting race relations and human rights.
Categories recognised include excellence in journalism, TV, radio, marketing and social media.
The main awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate later this year.
