Dreamy dindrls and lederhosens, the hills are alive with Chanel
Karl Lagerfeld’s parting shot to 2014 was an elaborate affair in the alpines. Usually shrouded in mystery, the Chanel Métiers d’Art show is an additional show in the fashion calendar that showcases the fine (literally perfect) craftsmanship of the fashion house. The show is usually held in beautiful, lavish locations and this year was no different with the choice of the exquisite 18th century Schloss Leopoldskron hotel, which from the pictures we’ve seen (thanks to Kendall Jenner) has the most amazing views overlooking the Lake Leopoldskroner Weiher in Salzburg, Austria.
The event was held on the same day as the Victoria Secret fashion show in London and while the latter probably took the gong for the most talked about show of the two on social media, the very lucky few who were chosen to attend the exclusive event were treated to the latest collection from Chanel in surreal surroundings. The catwalk was modelled around the hall at the hotel as models strutted down a hallway before bursting into a room with a centrepiece packed with fruits of all kinds.
