Former Dr Who space apprentice Freema Agyeman is to star in a new Netflix series titled Sense8. The 10 episode series is schedule to launch in the UK as well as the US on the 5th of June.
The video streaming service has already proven itself to be a contender in the broadcasting stakes with hits like the award-winning Orange Is The New Black starring Uzo Aduba. Now, they’ve got even more shows planned for release this summer it seems.
Directed by J. Michael Straczynski, Sense8 follows eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally. They can not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other’s deepest secrets. Not only must they figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, they must do so while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them.”
Sounds like the kind of stuff summer afternoon’s are made of. If it means seeing Agyeman back on our screens (ahem…computer screens), count us in.
Meanwhile, the stunning 35-year-old actress has been lapping up the sun in South Africa as she attended the Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo tournament in Sun City. Aren’t we just jealous?
