And so is the Internet apparently
In case you missed it, Benedict Cumberbatch is engaged….and even we haven’t recovered from that announcement and the actor announced the news in quite a spectacular way. Actually- his parents did.
Wanda and Timothy Carlton posted the announcement in the marriages section of the Times yesterday, and broke many hearts around the world in the process.
The internet too is still yet to recover from the news with fans crying over the couple’s engagement while others have gone as far as saying their lives are over.

Benedict and Sophie- a theatre director, have been dating for quite a bit and they make such an awesomely cute couple don’t they?
Yeah we admitted it grudgingly too.

Benedict had previously said he liked a woman who had great ‘conversational abilities, smart with a sense of humour’ and ‘a woman who didn’t need to get all decked out to feel sexy’. Looks like Oxford educated Sophie’s got all that and then some.
The Sherlock actor’s announcement means there’s one less eligible bachelor off the market (their diminishing so fast these days) after George Clooney tied the knot to British Lebanese lawyer Amal Alamuddin in Venice last month.
Unlike the Clooney’s highly publicised ceremonies, we suspect the Cumberbatch’s will take a slightly more laid back approach given how they’ve kept their relationship out of the media spotlight so far.
