Yay! it’s summer! Which means there are tonnes of activities and events for everyone from little ones to adults to bask in the glorious weather. As part of the celebrations during carnival weekend at Nothing Hill Carnival, the central association of Nigerians in the UK (CANUK) have announced a fun-filled day out in the park for all Nigerians.
The family fun day is a free event which will feature lots of exciting activities aimed at bringing the UK Nigerian community together by celebrating all that is uniquely Nigerian in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.
Bring the family along and let your hair down as the kids run around the expansive greenery of Rutland Walk Sports and club centre with live music and entertainment by some of the biggest Nigerian artists, children’s games, a football match and loads more.
There’ll also be lots to eat and drink with hundreds of stalls serving everything from Nigerian staples like jollof rice and chicken to meat pies and other savoury snacks.
You’ll also get the chance to see an exclusive Ankara fashion show organised by Ben TV as models strut their stuff on the catwalk in some of the latest styles.
Don’t miss out on this amazing event, get your friends and family and come down to The Rutland Sports club in Catford on the 23rd of August from 10am -7pm.
See you there!
