Nigeria has confirmed that there has been a death from Ebola outside Lagos, a doctor in the oil hub of Port Harcourt.
About 70 people in the city are currently under surveillance, while the late doctor’s wife has been put in quarantine.
Despite dying last Friday, the results have only just been announced by Nigeria’s health minister.
So far, the latest figures have shown that more than 1,550 people have died to the outbreak, with more than 3,000 confirmed cases- mostly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Health Ministers from West African countries will be meeting in Ghana to discuss how to tackle what is right now the most deadly Ebola outbreak in the world.
