Nurturing the next generation of fashion
US first lady Michelle Obama hosted some of fashions biggest names at the White House at a reception tagged #Fashionedu to inspire and nurture new talent in fashion.
Part of the Reach higher 2020 programme, an initiative which encourages young people to complete their education & own their future.
The event pulled famous faces in the world of fashion including Vogue Editor in chief Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell, Diane Von Furstenburg, Edward Enningful and Nigerian designers Duro Olowu and Maki O.
As you may have guessed, we didn’t quite get an invite (we’re not there yet!), but we didn’t want you to miss a thing so we’ve brought you some insighful celebrity captions from the event.
Just pretend you’re in there with them…it’ll work.
And the unthinkable happened…Anna Wintour took a selfie! Or well, a welfie?
