It has been confirmed by a tweet from Clarence House that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a second child.
As with her last pregnancy, the Duchess is reported to be suffering from acute morning sickeness-known in other words as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
A statement also came from Kensington Palace reading: “Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expected their second child. As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”
The new child will be fourth in line to the throne.
