1. Cut Out Swimsuits.

Misguided

A one-piece or bikini with cut out detailing shouts confidence! These swimsuits will have heads turning and amp the sex appeal up 10 notches. If you dare to bare, make sure the swimsuit you get is in the correct size – too small and you’ll have lumps and bumps in all the wrong places!

Bring out your inner athlete with swimwear inspired by sportswear. Mesh, bold colours and zips are just some of the things you’ll find on a sports inspired swimsuit. Whether you chose a one piece or a bikini one thing you will find is comfort.

3. High Waisted Bottoms.

Chanel the 60’s with a high-waisted bikini bottom a la Marilyn Monroe. A high-waisted bottom not only accentuates your waist line but also gives the illusion of longer legs!  These bikini bottoms are also a lot more forgiving on those of us who haven’t quite got those killer abs.

4. Bustier Bikini Top.

A bustier top has a lot more support and like the high-waisted bottom accentuates the waistline a lot more. With 2014 being the year of the crop top, a bikini top like this is bang on trend. Pair with a high-waisted bottom and you’ll be more covered up but your curves will look amazing!

5. Prints & Patterns.

Our final trend isn’t focused on the style of the suit but rather what’s on it! 2014 fashion is full of prints and patterns and this definitely extends to swimwear. Swimsuits with an interesting design are fun and playful and will be perfect for a holiday this summer. If you chose a two-piece, you can also mix and match the top and bottom with a block coloured bikini to change-up your look.

So that’s our our Top 5 picks this year. What will you be sporting to the beach?
