Coventry Graduate Alfred Ajani Lands Job Interview After Holding Sign Advertising Himself During Rush Hour

Way To Go For Thinking Outside The Box!

A Coventry graduate (who we suspect is Nigerian from his name) has landed himself a an interview for later this afternoon after standing outside Waterloo station holding a sign with his details for potential employers.

Alfred Ajani is one of the many graduates who finished Uni this summer all applying for jobs that at the moment seem impossible to land.

Ajani stood at the station, a strategic location as many City workers commute to and from the station everyday, holding a sign which read, “Marketing Hons, 2:1, Coventry. Ask for a CV.”

He told the Daily Mail that he took the bold step after he’d been applying for jobs since graduating in May without much success.

‘I got up early and went to the station. At first people just looked at me but after about 10 minutes people starting stopping and talking. They said they’d never seen anything like it before and were really impressed,” he said.

‘One woman worked in advertising and took a CV and another guy ran back from his train and said he’d walked past but had started thinking and might have something for me.’

Now, Ajani’s got an interview scheduled for later today, which can only be fantastic news.

We wish him every luck and will keep you posted.

I’ve already done this. Google “Matthew Giarmo.” You’ll see me on the front page of the Washington Post hitting up Washington D.C. street traffic the same way. I did this for 3 hours a day over a 4 day stretch of one very cool October.

My stunt received a lot of attention from government workers, media, and busloads of tourists. Many people called out to me at the red light. Some encouraging. “You’re the man.” Others, not to much. “You haven’t found a job *yet*” But no offers and no interviews.
