He’s a platinum selling DJ and now Calvin Harris is set to out his Midas touch to the Armani brand
Calvin Harris has been revealed as the new face of Armani’s Spring/Summer 2015 campaign. Harris will also represent Armani Eyewear and Watches in addition to the clothing range.
The Scottish singer, songwriter record producer and DJ is best known for his house and electro pop beats like ‘Summer’ and ‘Blame’. Moreover, Harris has collaborated with some of music’s famous stars including Rihanna and Katy Perry, to produce catchy summer anthems.
The Italian luxury brand says the collaboration of the two industries; fashion and music, reinforces the connection of Armani and the music world.
Forbes Magazine has already declared Harris as the top earning DJ for two consecutive years. It can only be evident that such an association will go on to flourishing Harris’s star studded career even more. Giorgio Armani said, “Calvin Harris is a truly cosmopolitan, dynamic young man who is capable of attracting the masses with his music and energy. He isn’t a model by nature, and this creates a more sincere and engaging bond with the public.”
Harris looks perfect in the campaign shots which see him slouched on a chair sporting a suit by the Italian brand. The shots are sexy and brooding and we’re sure the DJ will be garnering a few new female fans. At least he can rest assured that if he quits his day job, there’s definitely a great chance he could go into modelling.
Mutually, Harris says he is excited to be a part of the franchise, describing himself as a fan of the designer line. “It’s incredible to be working with Mr Armani and his team at Emporio Armani. I feel an affinity to the brand ethos and have been a long time admirer of their designs.”
The campaign, shot in Los Angeles by photographer Boo George, will be unveiled globally in January.
