Bobby Brown has released an official statement refuting rumours that his daughter- currently fighting for her life in hospital, will be taken off life support today, which marks the anniversary of her mother’s death.

Exactly three years ago today, legendary singer Whitney Houston was found dead in a hotel bathtub after what is thought to be an accidental drug overdose.

There were reports via several media outlets on Tuesday that the Brown’s and Houston’s were planning to turn off Bobbi’s life support on the same day her mother died, so the pair ‘can be together eternally’. Brown has hit back at the reports saying that the family appreciates the candle light vigil organised for their 21-year-old daughter, but added that there is no truth to the rumours at all and that the family will be investigating the matter at the right time.

According to E! news, Brown’s attorney Christopher Brown told the news outlet “We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended.” He also thanked those who gathered together at Riverdale Town Center Amphitheatre in Georgia Monday night to send love and prayers to Bobbi, who remains in critical condition after being found unresponsive and lying face down in a bath tub 10 days ago.

Brown said “the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the Internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time.”

“In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National EnquirerThe Atlanta Journal Constitution and the U.K.’s Daily Mail citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be first has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy.”

He added: “This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.”

He then urged the media to respect the family’s wishes for privacy in what must be a difficult time as he concluded the statement saying “God is hearing our prayers.”

In a further twist to the situation, the police are also reportedly investigating the incidents that led up to the day Bobbi was found in the bath tub, with reports that there were unexplained marks on her face. The statement did not give any further details on Bobbi’s condition at this time.
