Tragic– Whitney Houston’s daughter is reportedly fighting for her life after taking an overdose of pills in a bathtub over the weekend.

Bobbi Kristina- fondly called Krissy by family is currently being treated in an Atlanta hospital, where she is in a medically induced coma. There have been several reports suggesting she has limited brain function and that the family may be facing the heartbreaking decision of taking her off life support as any hope of recovery slowly slips away.

Hollywood life reports that a source close to the family says the 21 year old is surrounded by family and loved ones who have been by her bedside, including her father and Whitney’s ex husband Bobby Brown, who is understandably distraught at the moment. It is understood the final decision to keep his daughter on or off life support rests on him, which makes the situation even more tragic.

Bobbi was found ‘unresponsive’ by her husband Nick Gordon on the 31st of January lying face down in a bathtub full of water at the house she once shared with her late mum,  in a similar way to how her mother died at her hotel in 2012. Gordon immediately began CPR in order to revive her, while medics took over as soon as an ambulance arrived.

She had been reportedly struggling with the death of her mother, the legendary singer Whitney Houston who died of an accidental drug overdose after battling addiction for years. It is thought the looming anniversary of her mum’s death on February 11 may have tipped the already struggling reality TV star over the edge.

Her last Instagram post on the same day she was found in the bathtub showed all was seemingly well.

YAYYYY 🙂 finally my famBAM!!! @dmannnnnnn

A statement by Bobby Brown on arrival at the hospital said, “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

Here’s hoping she pulls through.
