Beauty Review: BRYT Essential Serum

by Azeezat Fadekemi Sulaiman

BRYT Essential is an absorbent, naturally inspired serum specifically created for normal to sensitive skin. Part of a new range of serums to nourish, boost and moisturise the skin, the BRYT Skincare range contains a blend of sophisticated botanical ingredients beneficial for all ages, but gentle enough for young adults with evolving skin.

As I have sensitive skin which often turns quite dry during the colder months, I was very excited to learn that this serum is rich in natural oils and skin-balancing active ingredients which penetrate deep down to cell level, helping to balance and maintain the skin’s natural equilibrium.

I trialled the serum for about a month so I’d have enough time to notice if indeed the serum had any effect on my skin. I used it every morning after cleansing and I was very impressed by the rate of absorption. The serum feels very light on the face and on application sinks right through the skin and you can barely feel it after application.

I normally suffer break outs during the month for a few days (I don’t quite know why just yet), but I noticed that during the weeks of using the BRYT Essential serum, my face remained relatively smooth. However, I didn’t notice any visible change in the ‘feel’ of the skin.  As my skin falls in the dry category, I found I had to top up the serum with another light moisturiser as it really does sink in under the skin as said in the description, so this noteworthy if you’ve got dry skin.

As stated earlier, this serum is meant to ‘maintain’ the skin’s equilibrium so if you’re after a skin firming or nourishing formula, perhaps you might want to try some of the other serums in the range. This serum is best if you’re after something to maintain your skin as it is and works wonders if you’ve got sensitive skin.

BRYT Essential Serum £16 for 30ml.
