Africa’s finest in the UK gather for the African Enterprise Awards in Holborn

Celebrating the contributions of Africans in the UK

Saturday the 22nd saw the gathering of some of the best African minds in the UK at the Great Connaught Hall in Holborn for the first ever African enterprise (AE) awards.

The AE Awards is the largest awards ceremony of its kind in the UK recognizing and celebrating the achievements of all African professionals and entrepreneurs including all African nationalities irrespective of their colour, culture, or religious persuasion.

Britain’s most innovative, affluent and industrious African executives and community leaders came together to honour African entrepreneurial excellence in the United Kingdom; recognizing individuals and companies who have achieved excellence against all odds.

There are over 5.5 million Africans in the UK, with African enterprises contributing over £10 Billion to the UK economy annually and the awards aims to celebrate these contributions by Africans while challenging the ‘immigrant’ stereotype.

Afrobeats singers May7even and Zafi B entertained guests at the event. We’ll be bringing you the full list of winners soon, but meanwhile, here are this year’s nominees.
