A stunning Jordan Dunn ends Vogue UK’s 12 year cover diversity drought

The Year of the Dunn

Vogue UK has finally put an end to it’s ridiculous lack of diversity on its covers, thanks to a stunning cover of Jordan Dunn. We’re not sure if this was already in the pipelines before critics slammed the fashion bible for not using a black model not just in 2014, but in the last 12 years. Whatever the case, it is a welcome development.

The 24-year-old despite having an impressive body of work has been passed over in the last few years, while most of her contemporaries including Cara Delevingne, and Georgia May Jagger have all graced the cover of the magazine. Delevingne, twice in 2014 alone.

The last time Vogue used a black model for its 2002 with Naomi Campbell. Incidentally, Campbell features in a high-profile with Dunn for Burberry’s Spring Summer 2015 campaign.

Dunn posted a photo of the cover on her Instagram and thanked the publication for the opportunity. “I’m so Happy to finally say I’M ON THE COVER OF BRITISH VOGUE!!!
