As Africa strives to improve access to education for the girl child, One.org; an organisation that works to end extreme poverty in Africa has recruited the help of 9 of Africa’s leading female artists to record a new song ‘Strong Girl’ to promote the power of the girl child.

The new song produced by ace Nigerian producer Cobhams Asuquo features Nigeria’s Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Waje, Yemi Alade along with Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania), Arielle T (Gabon), Gabriela (Mozambique), Selmor Mtukudzi (Zimbabwe), Judith Sephuma (South Africa), new talent Blessing Nwafor (South Africa).

The Organisation says “The song is a call to action for you to put pressure on your leader to empower girls and women in the poorest countries, so that they can lift their own communities out of poverty.”
