I’m too blessed to flaunt my wealth- 2Face
2Face Idibia is a Nigerian artist with many things to boast about. Being a singer/songwriter and record producer, he is also one of the most decorated and successful Afro pop artists widely recognized internationally.
His roll call of awards include one MTV Europe Music Award, one World Music Award, five Headies Awards (Hip-hop award), four Channel O Music Video Awards and one BET award for his musical work, four MTV Africa Music Awards, one MOBO award, one KORA award, and numerous additional nominations.
Despite his admirable talent and success, the artist has always remained humble- keeping a very low profile, arguably the reason many of his fans love him. In a recent interview, he finally spoke out on his thoughts on his fame.
Speaking on why he doesn’t flaunt his fame he said, “For me it’s a matter of choice. It’s a matter of what makes you happy. Some people have it and they don’t care to show it and some just do it so that people will think they have it. Some people do it so that armed robbers will come and visit them”
Commenting further on his fame the artist continues to woo his fans, when asked to define his key to success and staying on top 2 faces Idibia replied saying, “That question is difficult to answer. I think its people that will answer that aspect for me. But for me, I think it’s the talent, the grace of God and then the love and support of my fans.”
The former plantashun boys happily married to Annie Idibia with two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.
